Some Things was born from a shared belief that design begins with listening.
Listening to people. To place. To materials. To the knowledge held by makers, craftspeople and communities. We believe the most meaningful outcomes emerge not from imposing ideas, but from approaching each project with curiosity, humility and care.
As designers, we are constantly learning. Every place has something to teach us, every collaboration has the potential to shift our perspective, and every project presents an opportunity to create value beyond the object itself. Through thoughtful design, responsible decision-making and meaningful partnerships, we seek to create work that is rooted in context and connected to the people who help bring it to life.

Jade is an architect, interior architect, creative thinker and relentless seeker of possibility. She approaches life and design with equal measures of curiosity, enthusiasm and gratitude, finding inspiration in people, places, conversations and the unexpected lessons that emerge along the way.
At the heart of her work is a belief that meaningful design begins with connection. Connection to the land, to culture, to community and to the many hands and minds that contribute to bringing an idea into the world. She is passionate about creating environments that feel generous, welcoming and deeply rooted in their surroundings, drawing on local knowledge and collective wisdom to shape spaces and experiences that are both memorable and authentic.
For Jade, architecture and interior architecture are not simply about creating beautiful outcomes. They are opportunities to learn, collaborate and contribute positively to the world around us. Guided by love, respect and a deep appreciation for the people she works alongside, she brings warmth, energy and intention to every project she touches.
Kirsty is an industrial designer driven by a deep love of the natural world, the people who inhabit it, and the countless ways we interact with our environment. She is endlessly curious about how things are made, where materials come from, and the stories, skills and ecosystems that shape the objects around us. Equally at home in a workshop, on a factory floor or developing concepts in a studio, she finds inspiration in both the making process and the people who bring ideas to life.
Her work bridges design, production and problem-solving, drawing on experience across product development, manufacturing and furniture design. She is passionate about creating thoughtful solutions that respect local resources, celebrate craftsmanship and contribute positively to the communities and environments they become part of. She sees design as an opportunity to tread more lightly, strengthen connections and uncover value in what already exists.
