Welcome to Some Things. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and the purchase of products and services from Studio Something Something trading as Some Things (“Some Things”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
 

By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using this website.

3. Products & Services
 

Some Things offers handcrafted furniture, lighting, homeware, accessories, and related design objects, as well as custom FF&E design services, interior design services, sourcing and procurement services, and project management services.
 

All products are made to order unless otherwise stated.

As our products are individually handcrafted using natural materials, slight variations in grain, texture, tone, finish, dimensions, and detailing may occur. These variations form part of the unique character of each piece and should not be regarded as defects.
 

Product imagery is provided for illustrative purposes only. While every effort is made to accurately represent colours, finishes, and materials, variations may occur due to screen settings, photography, and the handcrafted nature of our work.

 

4. Orders & Payment
 

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Payment for products purchased through the website is processed securely via card payment at checkout. Production will only commence once full payment has been successfully received.
 

Some Things reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or product unavailability.

 

5. Lead Times
 

As all products are made to order, estimated lead times are generally between 4 to 8 weeks unless otherwise communicated.
 

Lead times are estimates only and may vary due to material availability, production schedules, artisan processes, shipping delays, or unforeseen circumstances. While we make every effort to meet estimated timelines, Some Things shall not be held liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.

 

6. Shipping & Delivery
 

We offer local and international shipping.

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing. Shipping costs, duties, customs fees, taxes, and import charges applicable to international orders are the responsibility of the customer.
 

Delivery timelines provided by couriers are estimates only and may vary.

Risk in the products passes to the purchaser upon delivery or collection. Customers are encouraged to inspect all items upon arrival and notify us within 72 hours of any transit damage or issues.
 

Some Things shall not be held liable for delays, damages, or losses caused by third-party shipping providers once goods have been dispatched.

 

7. Returns & Exchanges
 

Due to the made-to-order and handcrafted nature of our products, custom and made-to-order items are non-refundable and non-returnable unless faulty or damaged upon arrival.
 

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, customers must notify us in writing within 72 hours of delivery, including supporting photographs where applicable.
 

Approved returns must be unused and returned in their original condition and packaging.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser unless the return relates to an approved fault or error on our part.

 

8. Product Care
 

Wood is a natural material and will continue to respond to its environment over time. Proper care and maintenance are essential to preserving the longevity and appearance of each piece.
 

Customers are advised to follow the care instructions provided with their products and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, excessive heat, and harsh cleaning chemicals.
 

Food-safe wooden homeware items should be hand washed only and dried immediately after cleaning. These items are not dishwasher or microwave safe.

 

9. Intellectual Property
 

All content on this website, including but not limited to product designs, drawings, concepts, renders, imagery, graphics, branding, logos, text, layouts, material, and written content, remains the intellectual property of Some Things and/or Studio Something Something unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, used commercially, or exploited in any form without prior written permission.
 

This includes all custom design work, FF&E concepts, sourcing proposals, interior concepts, product development work, specifications, and related creative output produced by Some Things.
 

Any unauthorised use, imitation, reproduction, or distribution of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

 

10. Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Some Things shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.

Our liability shall in all circumstances be limited to the purchase price paid for the relevant product or service.

 

11. Privacy
 

Any personal information submitted through this website will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

12. Governing Law
 

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
